I started on Ravencraft and it seems working without an issue. Would greatly prefer Octowow, given their security from Blizzard with their plan, but either play or not play, I choose play. I can't login any more to Octowow, so this is not a choice, just a necessity fi I want my Turtlewow fix.

So with whitelist, or with hosts entry for likely an old IP, I am now stuck at connecting after I enter my login information. It never completes. Never logs in. Doesn't seem solvable. I can go and ad whitelist again, but if I have to do that, I mine as well find another server.

I agree with this statement if it requires a whitelist for many players to login, and when trying to signup to the whitelist, users are getting errors. Just bad experience. Really stinks given this is all brought on by DDOS, and I hope this is a very temporary solution, because ...

So I can get in by hardcoding the ip into my hosts file. This doesn't seem to work for everybody, but I just read an announcement post about adding an IP to the whitelist. For those running linux who are able to login to pvp/hc but not pve

add the IP to your /etc/hosts file

185.165.170.59 normal.octowow.st

If it fixes the problem, the issue is DNS not the server
