A compromise I could maybe accept is a flexible system for the PvP server specifically: faction-first matchmaking with a cross-faction fallback. The queue tries to form pure Horde vs Alliance matches first, and only falls back to mixed-faction matches after a set wait time. This shortens queues now ...

Another option (or a refinement of C?):

G.) Faction-preferring matchmaking with disguises (toggleable?):

1. One shared queue, so queue times stay low.
2. Matchmaking always tries to keep everyone on their own faction first, only moving N'Zoth players to the opposite faction if a match otherwise ...

I spoke with many players on Y'shaarj, and while it's still an anecdotal evidence, each one I spoke to said that they don't like cross faction, and picked this realm because it disables it.

Does this mean cross-faction BGs for players on the PvP-server as well? If so I really don't like it. Some of us play on private servers to get away from the immersion-breaking cross-faction stuff that Blizzard has become so obsessed with in recent years, and specifically play on PvP-servers to ...

Yeah, they need to investigate this at some point, imo. A game that is too easy is fun only initially, but gets boring and uninteresting after a while.

I agree with the OP. Turtle's class changes made us more powerful, while the devs didn't make enough changes to the game to account for the power creep.
