Will this have any effect on character with Slow and Steady and Exhaustion challenge?

I have tested the DLL and it seem to work too without modifying the iptables or hosts entry.

For Windows, go to: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc (select "All files")
Locate the HOSTS text file and add the following to the very end, leaving a blank space:
92.114.107.56 play.octowow.st
92.114.107.56 normal.octowow.st


This does work too but i only need to hardcode IP for play.octowow.st.

I am using Ubuntu and changing TTL to 128 (default is 64) seem to work for me.
Further reading, it seem Blizzard also have similar issue after DDOS attack during 2019.
It could be the DDOS protection is using passive fingerprinting to sniff/filter assumed ...

As of now OctoWoW service is being DDOSed and no whitelist will help as the service is overwhelm/down with DDOS traffic.
For my experiences, I never request to whitelist my IP and able to connect after few try when the service is working as normal and not being DDOSed.

Do take note every online service include Blizzard could face DDOS attack from every where.
Once your service is online and open to public, it is very hard to prevent malicious entities to attack you.

Do note if the server is being DDOSed, it does not matter if your current IP is being whitelisted or not.

For my experience, unless the server is being DDOSed, I will be able to connect without issue.
First two try usually will get disconnected and 3rd try will get connected. With that I believe the DDOS protection is working and auto whitelist your IP at the backend if your IP is consider safe.

True and the reward is very not worth the trouble. I am just giving suggestion to Dev to take a look of it and if possible improve the quest logic.
