VimFinder: Global Fuzzy Finder for spells, items, recipes and panels

Press Alt+Space, type a few letters, press Enter. VimFinder searches your spells, bag items, profession recipes, tracking and game windows by name, and uses the one you pick.



What it does

• Windows: quest log, spellbook, talents, map and the rest. Enter opens or closes them.
• Recipes: every recipe you know, with the item's icon. Enter opens the profession and selects it (never crafts).
• Tracking: Find Herbs, Find Minerals and the rest; Enter turns them on or off (with ClassicAPI).
• Most-used results come first. In combat it fades and keeps to safe actions.

Requirements

• 1.12.1 client (OctoWoW)
• No DLL needed. ClassicAPI.dll is optional and adds more (all recipes, tracking, self-cast helpful spells).

Install

1. Download VimFinder-0.1.18.zip. It holds VimFinder and VimWowSettings, the options window it needs.
2. Unzip it into

   Code: Select all

   Interface/AddOns/

   .
3. At character select, under AddOns, tick VimFinder and VimWowSettings.

Keys

• Alt+Space: open the finder
• Type: narrow the list
• Tab / Shift+Tab or Ctrl+J / Ctrl+K: next / previous result
• Enter: use the result
• Esc: close

Change the key: Esc > VimWow Options > Finder tab.
