Epoch custom quests import to octowow

People talking the custom quests in Project Epoch a lot. I keep reading comments about how great the story is. So I was thinking, could the quests from there be imported here? Of course, the ones requiring custom NPCs/zones etc. couldn't be imported, but what about the rest? Wouldn't that make the game even richer?

"imported" idk.

But I agree there's nothing wrong with taking lessons and advantage of what has been tried by others and is good content, and bring it to fruition on OctoWoW.

The quests from Epoch are all really great.

There were numerous times when I tried to look up a quest on wowhead, only to realise it's an Epoch custom quests, that's how seamingly they fit into the game. Can't say the same about the Turtle custom quests (even if most of them is really good too, you can usually tell they are custom).

idk about importing, I don't think thats possible without access to the source code.
What they can easily import are the map edits, I talk about that in this thread if you're interested (https://octowow.st/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2676).
And then populate these zones with new, unique quests OR recreate the Epoch ones by hand.

Epoch and Turtle both explored similar storylines, so simply just importing the quests over might clash with some storylines.

As a highlight, let me tell you about a questline I REALLY loved in Epoch - in Vanilla, the quest for the Demon Seed simply ends in the Barrens. Epoch expanded upon this questline, and had the player chase the warlocks responsible for the Demon Seed over numerous zones and levels. From Barrens, you go to Ashenvale to meet up with Thrall's warlock hunting agent, then visit the Stonetalon Mountains, where you find out the Grimtotem are sheltering Burning Blade warlocks, then you confront Magatha herself, who explains Thrall is foolish for wanting to remove such a powerful weapon of the Horde such as the Burning Blade, and that she is using the warlocks in her war against the centaur, and sends you to aid against them in Thousand Needles, and the questline eventually ends several levels later, in the Shadowbreak Ravine of Desolace, in front of an (unreleased) Burning Blade stronghold dungeon.

Some other really well done questlines were the Racial Knowledge ones. Epoch introduced a special system, where you could swap your racials with any other race (the CD was 7 days, to make it balanced). But in order to unlock the race's racials, you had to undergo a questline learning about the race. If it was a friendly race, you would aid a racial leader with an importang quest, and if it was the opposing faction's race, you would go on an espionage, or a raid against them.

Another cool end game questline were the Proffesion Capstone quests. After you hit 300 in your prof, you could accept a long thematic questline deepening your skills and knowledge in your profession. I haven't actually finished any, because it took a lot of materials and a lot of time, but the quests I did were all really thematic and good.
