After the launcher update my progress is stuck on:

"Update available!

Download incomplete. Click update to finish.

UPDATE"

Troubleshooting:
- PC restart
- VPN on/off
- Fresh client install
- Multiple restarts of the launcher .exe
- All files as exception in Antivirus

None helped.

Same for me, tried a fresh install after the update because I was having some issues, now can't even download the client

Same here. keeps saying there is an update available, and the download is incomplete. i can click update, but returns to the same message.

Found a way around this by:

1: Close the launcher
2: Clean out the entire octo wow folder location but leave the folder itself intact
3: Download the client through the torrent on the website
4: Transfer the client's contents into the octo wow folder that the launcher is set to
5: Open the launcher again, it should recognize the new files in the folder as being up to date
6: Press Play

You'll lose your key bindings and all that jazz, but you can at least play. My stuff used to CTD whenever I brought up my skill book or my professions, but now that seems to work just fine.

Holy moly what is happening today .... every 5 seconds another bug, crash or problem with the game or launcher.

I updated to a later version of GE-Proton (Using 'LATEST' variant, which is 11-5, iirc). ENOTSUP error went away.

If you click the gear icon and double check the install location is correct it should work. Mine didn’t auto switch to the correct pathway. When I changed it, it started the update like normal. Hope this helps.

None of the solutions posted in this thread worked, unfortunately.

So far, I've tried:
1) Adding the Octowow launcher through my firewall.
2) Adding the Octowow launcher folder + wow folder as exceptions.
2.5) Flushing my DNS.
2.6) Checking my blocked files via windows defender (found nothing).
3) Trying with/without a VPN.
4) Running the launcher as administrator.
5) Tried EqUpdater after allowing the launcher through my firewall and adding the folder as an exception.
6) Tried disabling ALL of my firewalls and anti-virus settings on windows.
7) Tried downloading the fresh wow client from the website, deleting the old client, and replacing it with the fresh.

Posting this list here so that others might benefit from the troubleshooting process.
