Fireside Chats Return! 2026-10-25

After a long (DDoS related) hiatus, our weekly fireside chats with the devs will be returning this Sunday at 7pm UTC!

Join us in game to ask any questions you may have, and don't forget to bring your fishing pole! Summons to the event will be announced in world chat when the event starts.

The event will begin on the PvE realm, last from 7-7:30, then move to the Hardcore realm from 7:30-8, then move to the PvP realm where I will be on each faction for 15 minutes.

I was completely ignored from start to finish - totally spat in my face. Thank you for laying to rest my excitement regarding the server. I wasn't fully expecting to have my tiny suggestion added or anything, but the rudeness was unnecessary.

I do see you trying to join, but you appear to have an outdated client side patch 5 that does not include the platform everyone was standing on. Please use the launcher to update that.

Looking back at the chat logs in post here I see you asking about a new blue Succubus skin you'd like to be added to the shop. I'll take a look at trying to get that added in with our next shop update.

Thank you, and I apologize for being so bitter. I started playing on the server right before Fireside Chats were put on hiatus, so I was extra worried that I had missed my chance for a while. I had no clue about the platform, so I'll see about getting that fixed. Once again I apologize, I thought I was being ignored at an event hosted for the purpose of feeling heard, so hopefully you can understand why I flew off the handle a little.

As for the succubus skin itself, to clarify, it's a Display ID I'd like to be added to the existing succubus illusion in the store. The specific Display ID is 2737 - the appearance of the blue succubi in Desolace.

Outdated client it's often thing here. While launcher was mess (broke dlls.txt, had outdated links addons and mods) I myself used VanillaFixes start. But, iirc, from 1.3.3 it's fine and from 1.4.x even cool with new render distance. Maybe possible somehow inform players on login screen or at first in-world login that "your client older than you, update it from *link on launcher*". My friend absolutely like that and after each patch I asking him "did you start from launcher or just .exe?". Also now launcher checking wow.exe and if it's already work dont start second window. Since by rules even on HC/PvP we can use two or even three toons under certain conditions is it possible to remove check for an active `WoW.exe` in launcher, so that it allows opening more than one instance of application right from launcher?
